Crochet For Beginners Workshop

Crochet For Beginners Workshop

September 17th

10am – 4pm

£45

Come along and learn all the foundation knowledge needed to enable you to crochet many of the items you’d like. We shall begin our workshop by going through all the various items of crochet equipment that is available to buy in the shops today and explaining a bit about the various wools that can also be purchased. We shall then be learning how to begin our work with a foundation chain and then going on to learn how to do single, double and treble crochet stitches. We will also be learning how to ‘turn our work’ and once we have achieved all this we will move on to learning how to crochet in the round with emphasis on increasing and decreasing stitches. Some talk about patterns will take place and I will explain how to read a simple one so that you may follow a pattern if you so wish. If there is time we may even crochet the odd Granny Square or two!

You will need to bring;
5mm crochet hook
Two balls of double knitting or aran wool each a different colour (lighter the colour the better as dark coloured wools make learning crochet harder)
